About DPM plastering
DPM Plastering is a plastering business based in Newquay and working in Cornwall, with its website also referring to DPM Building Cornwall. Its work covers plastering, ceilings, painted interiors and exterior rendering, and it shows photographs from its project diary, from fresh plaster to painted interiors.
Its website explains skimming as a finishing layer of gypsum plaster over a suitable existing surface, backing plaster or plasterboard, which gives walls and ceilings a smooth surface for decorating once dry. It is often used for refreshing sound walls and ceilings, or finishing new plasterboard. The materials guidance refers to British Gypsum finishing plaster, and mirror-finish plaster is shown among the projects.
Exterior rendering is presented stage by stage, with photographs of the same wall before and after the top coat. Projects range from one room or a ceiling to a whole interior, and the right system depends on the wall, the room and the work agreed with the business.
