Plastering and skimming
Skimming over existing plaster that has gone tired but is still sound, floating and setting a bare brick or block wall in two coats
£450 to £750 to skim an average room, or £18 to £28 per square metre
Rendering
Rendering a solid wall or blockwork extension in sand and cement, hacking off blown render and making good the substrate
£45 to £75 per square metre including scaffold
Plasterboarding and dry lining
Dot and dab boarding a solid wall to take a skim, boarding out a stud partition both sides
£12 to £22 per square metre supplied and fixed
Silicone and monocouche render
Basecoat, mesh and topcoat over blockwork on a new build, recoating a tired sand and cement render with a thin-coat system
£60 to £95 per square metre including scaffold
External wall insulation
Fixing EPS or mineral wool board to a solid wall and rendering over it, extending sills, soffits and downpipes to clear the new wall line
£100 to £160 per square metre including scaffold
Floor screeding
Sand and cement screed over insulation on a new slab, liquid anhydrite screed on an underfloor heating manifold

Stud walls
Timber stud partition to split a bedroom, boarded both sides, metal stud partition where weight or fire rating matters

Ceiling repair
Overboarding a cracked or bowed ceiling and skimming it, taking down a failed lath and plaster ceiling and reboarding

Coving and cornice
Fitting plaster coving around a room and filling the joints, matching an existing victorian cornice profile in a run

Venetian and polished plaster
Polished Venetian plaster to a feature wall in multiple thin coats, microcement to a bathroom wall or floor as a seamless finish
£90 to £220 per square metre depending on finish and coats
Artex and textured ceilings
Overboarding a textured ceiling and skimming it flat, skimming directly over a sound textured coating where it will take it
£380 to £700 to overboard and skim an average ceiling
Pebbledash
Hacking off failed pebbledash back to the brick, rendering over sound pebbledash with a thin-coat system
£50 to £80 per square metre, and £25 to £45 per square metre to remove
Crack and patch repairs
Cutting out and refilling a crack from movement, then scrimming it, patching where a radiator, socket or fireplace has come out
£150 to £280 for a half day, £260 to £450 for a full day
Re-plastering after damp
Hacking off to a metre above the highest salt staining, rendering in sand and cement with a salt retardant additive
£40 to £70 per square metre including hack off and render
Lime plastering
Lime plastering a solid wall that has to stay breathable, lime rendering a stone or cob elevation
£60 to £110 per square metre, and it cures over weeks rather than days
Ceiling roses and mouldings
Fitting a plaster ceiling rose around an existing pendant, matching a damaged rose to the original pattern
£120 to £320 supplied and fitted for a standard rose
Tape and joint
Taping, filling and sanding board joints to a paint-ready finish, finishing to a specified level on a commercial fit-out

Commercial plastering
Metal stud partitioning across an office or retail fit-out, suspended ceiling grid and board to a specification
