About Validus Plastering
Validus Plastering is a plastering business in York established in 2022. Before starting the business, the founder held several hands-on managerial roles where project management and customer service were key priorities. The business carries out plasterboard installation, float and set plastering, plaster skimming, rendering, plaster repairs, and work on new builds and renovations.
Validus Plastering serves York and surrounding areas including Tang Hall, Heworth, Murton, Pocklington, Huby, Poppleton, Bielby and Tollerton. Jobs start with an initial consultation and detailed assessment, followed by a clear quotation and project timeline. The business uses premium plasterboards, professional-grade jointing compound, quality PVA adhesive and specialist corner beading. Professional plastering tools, specialist jointing knives, quality mixing equipment and dust extraction systems are employed on site. Surfaces are prepared carefully, and the team leaves properties clean and tidy once work is complete.
Validus Plastering holds full insurance coverage and is COSHH compliant. Risk assessments are carried out, and dust management and property protection are part of the working process. The business provides regular updates throughout projects and carries out quality checks and a final inspection. Plasterboard installation for an average room of approximately 4m x 3m costs £1200 to £1500 including ceiling, whilst float and set plastering for the same size room ranges from £720 to £960. Final cost depends on room size and height, surface condition, required preparation and access requirements.
