About Thwaites Plastering
Thwaites Plastering is based in East Grinstead and covers West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey and Kent within a 40-mile radius, working for homes and businesses. It is fully insured and has over 20 years of experience.
The business was founded and is run by Billy Thwaites, a specialist plasterer from a family of plasterers. He began in the trade at 14, learning from his father, who was also a plasterer. Work ranges from a small repair to a major refurbishment.
Services include plastering, with skimming that applies a smooth coat to plasterboard or existing walls and ceilings for painting or wallpapering, and plasterboarding (dry lining), which fixes plasterboards to walls and ceilings ready for skimming or taping and jointing. Wall straightening and levelling corrects uneven or bowed walls, patching and repairs deal with holes and cracks, and Artex can be covered or removed, subject to a survey. Making good tidies surfaces around new windows, doors or fitted units. The business also offers rendering for the exterior of a property. Free quotes are offered.
