The Surrey Cornice Company is a fibrous plastering business based in Guildford, run by Tom Briscoe. The company evolved from Guildford Plaster Works, established in 1979 by his father Jim Briscoe. It designs, hand-casts and installs fibrous plasterwork, including coving, cornice, ceiling roses, ceiling centres, columns, niches, corbels, scrolls, domes, dado rails and archways. All plaster mouldings are produced at the workshop in Guildford by a small team of craftsmen. Mouldings can be made from stock or from drawings.
