About Slate & Plaster
Slate & Plaster is a plastering business based in Musselburgh, run by Ritchie Walthall. It carries out wall skimming, plaster repairs, ceiling repairs and water damage repairs across Edinburgh and the Lothians. The services listed include reskimming old or uneven walls, repairs to cracked or blown plaster, lime plaster repair and renewal, repairs to lath and plaster ceilings, repair of water-damaged walls and ceilings, and Artex removal and skimming.
The business has particular experience with older properties in Edinburgh and the Lothians, where damaged walls and ceilings often need more than a simple skim. Wallpaper removal can expose loose, crumbling or blown plaster, including older lime plaster. Traditional lath and plaster ceilings can crack, fail or become damaged following leaks. Ritchie assesses the existing plaster and recommends the appropriate repair, whether that means local plaster repairs, reskimming, lime plaster repair or more extensive remedial work.
Slate & Plaster has been trading since 2015 and is fully insured. Ritchie deals directly with customers from the initial enquiry through to the work itself.
