About S Hodges Plastering ltd
S Hodges Plastering Ltd is a plastering business based in Sherborne. The company carries out traditional plastering using a three-coat process, skimming to create smooth surfaces on walls and ceilings, dry lining with plasterboards, and Venetian plastering for decorative finishes. Lime plastering is a speciality, using a breathable mixture of lime, sand and water suited to historic properties and solid-wall buildings where moisture control is needed. The business also offers plasterboarding and preparation work, and handles horsehair plaster and shiplap clapboard alongside contemporary materials.
S Hodges Plastering works on all buildings including Grade listed buildings. The team works alongside architects, builders and other trades to create detailed finishes. Jobs start with a visit to discuss the project and understand the client's needs. The business uses premium-grade materials and the latest techniques to achieve smooth and sleek surfaces or intricate decorative designs. Lime plaster can be customised with different finishes and pigments, and is suitable for both interior and exterior surfaces on brick, stone and timber.
The company is fully insured and has established itself as a provider in the local area. The team comprises skilled professionals versed in all aspects of plastering, from small repairs to large-scale renovations. Lime plaster is breathable, long-lasting, easy to repair and has a low carbon footprint as it is made from natural materials.
