Insulation board fixed to the wall and rendered over, which is the only practical way to insulate a wall with no cavity.
Most of the failures in this work are the details rather than the boards: sills extended, downpipes moved, and the line at the damp course stopping water getting in behind. Ask how each is handled before the scaffold goes up.
