About Holt Plastering
Holt Plastering is a plastering business in Witney run by Martin Holt, a City and Guilds qualified plasterer who has worked in the building trade for over 20 years. The business carries out domestic and commercial plastering across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds, including Chipping Norton. Services listed are plastering new builds and extensions, overboarding existing surfaces, damp proofing, kitchen and bathroom plastering, covering Artex ceilings, monocouche rendering, skimming, and refurbishment work ranging from single walls to complete house makeovers.
New plasterboard is fitted to timber framework and insulated before blockwork is floated and set using hardwall and multi finish. Overboarding fixes new plasterboard over existing surfaces to create a smooth finish and can cover patterned Artex ceilings. Where damp plaster is present, old plaster is hacked back to brick or stonework to one metre high, damp-proof is applied, then hardwall or sand and cement is laid before the wall is plastered. Kitchen and bathroom work receives extra care, especially where old units have been removed or new electrical work has been done. Skimming applies a finishing layer over existing surfaces or plasterboard to smooth uneven areas.
Holt Plastering is a British Gypsum Certified Plasterer. The business has undertaken remedial insurance work following floods or accidents, and refurbishment projects have included extensions, garage conversions and six-bedroom houses. Free quotes are available on request.
