About DRB Lime Plastering
DRB Lime Plastering is a family run business based on the Herts and Cambs border, near Royston. It is led by Daniel Bunton, who has over 35 years of experience in the plastering industry. In January 2023 he received the award for master plasterer from the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers. The business provides lime plastering and rendering to listed and historic buildings.
Its services include internal and external lime plastering, brick repointing, wattle and daub, and reed ceilings and walls. Repair work covers removal of failed plaster, fixing oak lath and applying a first coat of lime plaster. The business also works on new builds with lime, including timber frame and compressed earth construction.
Other work includes lathing with sawn larch lath and oak lath, and wattle infill with split ash staves and daub applied over the top. It also carries out pargetting, including stamp work, bordered stamp work and stamp work over straw bale.
