About DPS Tyneside
DPS Tyneside is a family business based in Newcastle upon Tyne, founded in 2019. It carries out damp proofing, lime plastering, external rendering, wet rot treatment, dry rot treatment and woodworm treatments for homeowners and landlords. The services listed also include DPC injections, K11 tanking systems, replaced floor joists, structural waterproofing, external insulation, suspended ceilings, dry lining, painting and decorating, property preservation and property restoration. Pre-purchase damp surveys are offered with a free quotation.
The business covers Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding towns and villages, including Gateshead. The team comprises Craig, the company's Director, and Lee, a close family friend. Both are Certified Surveyors of Timber and Dampness in Buildings. Craig has worked in the industry for 20 years across the country, and Lee joined in 2023. The business supplies a decade-long, mortgage-approved insurance policy for all installations. Work begins with a survey to identify damp, rising damp, penetrating damp, woodworm infestation, wet or dry rot, and hidden leaks. External rendering uses coloured Parex render, and lime plastering is offered for period and heritage properties using traditional methods and materials. The team uses Sovereign chemicals for damp proofing and building treatments.
DPS Tyneside holds public liability insurance and is a member of QANW. All team members have completed training with the Property Care Association. The business is an approved installer of Sovereign chemicals and holds a Checkatrade rating.
