About Daedalus Drylining & Plastering
Daedalus Drylining & Plastering is a construction business based in Southampton. It carries out drylining, plastering, rendering, metal frame suspended ceilings, screed, tape and joining work on domestic and commercial builds. The business also offers soundproofing using soundproof plasterboard and Rockwool insulation to reduce noise transmission in offices, bedrooms and healthcare facilities.
The firm covers Hampshire and the surrounding South Coast areas. It has completed projects in healthcare, dental and education settings. Recent work includes renovations at Bulmershe School in Reading, a lodge in Kent, a lodge in New Milton, and extensions. For schools, the business has renovated classrooms, IT rooms and bathrooms, built partitions using timber and metal frames, and installed tile and grid ceilings and music pods.
Daedalus Drylining & Plastering uses materials including Knauf Soundboard for dental spaces, pink plasterboard for fire resistance on steel structures, Celotex insulation for fire protection and energy efficiency, and Rockwool insulation for soundproofing. Fire safety work includes sealing joints and cuts with fire tape to prevent the spread of fire or smoke. Metal frame suspended ceiling systems offer durability and flexibility, with non-combustible steel structures that allow custom ceiling heights and easy access for future maintenance. The business coordinates multiple trades on larger projects to ensure smooth execution.
