About Claremont Cornicing- Kilwinning
Claremont Cornicing is a plastering business in Kilwinning run by Gordon Muir. It restores cornices in historic properties and fits precast cornicing in homes and commercial spaces. The services listed are cornice restoration and precast cornicing, using traditional institutional methods to recreate intricate moulding and delicate finishes.
The business covers West Scotland. Gordon Muir left school in May 1984 to begin his apprenticeship as a plasterer with a local firm, where he gained skills in general and ornate plasterwork. He formed Claremont Cornicing and Plastering in April 1998. The business works for private and public sectors, and recommendations have been the backbone to its success. Gordon has been involved in training new people throughout his career. Cornice restoration projects include Victorian-era townhouses and Georgian-style mansions, where the business works closely with customers to understand their vision and match restoration techniques to specific requirements. Each restoration project aims to add timeless elegance to the space.
